Problem Gambling Helpline and Support Resources for Colorado Bettors
Full Review
If you're betting on Colorado sportsbooks and things have stopped feeling like fun, help is available right now — free, confidential, and around the clock. Here's what you need to know, laid out plainly.
What is the main problem gambling helpline number for Colorado bettors?
The National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-522-4700, operated by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). You can call or text, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The line routes callers to Colorado-specific resources when needed. That's the number. Save it now, before you need it.
What other resources are available to Colorado gamblers who need help?
The NCPG website at ncpgambling.org offers a treatment provider locator, self-assessment tools, and live chat support — not just for the bettor, but for family members too. Colorado also runs a voluntary self-exclusion program through the Division of Gaming. Enroll once and you're banned from all licensed Colorado gambling platforms. It's one of the most direct tools a bettor can use to put real distance between themselves and the action. For a step-by-step walkthrough, see How to Use Colorado Sportsbook Self-Exclusion Programs.
Where can I find responsible gambling tools at Colorado sportsbooks?
Licensed Colorado operators are required to offer in-app responsible gambling tools — deposit limits, session timers, cooling-off periods. These sit inside your account settings. For a full breakdown of what each major book offers, check Responsible Gambling Tools at Colorado Sportsbooks. Use them before a problem starts, not after.

Should I be worried if I'm also chasing welcome bonuses?
Bonuses are built to extend your play — that's their job. If you're reviewing offers like those listed on Best Colorado Sportsbook Welcome Bonuses Ranked, or looking at a specific deal such as the DraftKings Colorado Sportsbook Promo: What You Get, that's fine — just know your limits going in. No promo is worth chasing past your budget. Bonus availability and terms vary; confirm current details directly with each operator. Legal sports betting in Colorado requires players to be 21 or older.
